During French rule, Kep was Cambodia’s premier seaside destination, widely known as “the St. Tropez of South-East Asia.” Here at Knai Bang Chatt, we have worked with French architect Francoise Lavielle to restore and remodel these stunning colonial villas.
They are now the centrepiece of an impeccably designed coastal resort which features plush rooms, an infinity pool overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, world-class cuisine, and much more. 1. Impeccable Architecture
In the 1960s the area was known as Cambodia’s Riviera, where royalty and stars mingled in private villas overlooking the Gulf of Thailand against a backdrop of lush, forested mountains. Knai Bang Chatt consists of four renovated villas built in the 1970s by protégés of the father of New Khmer Architecture, Vann Molyvann, a student of the world famous architect Le Corbusier. The villas are astonishing historical landmarks that guests can now experience as private residences and suites.

About The Suite
At 80 sqm, our unique open plan suite encompasses the entire second floor of the Brown Villa. Accessed through a spiral staircase, the suite contains a large sleeping area, a separate lounge area with chic and comfortable seating, a large Jacuzzi style bathtub with private terrace with spectacular ocean views.
About Superior Rooms
The red villa by the poolside boasts some of our superior double rooms. With at least 38 sqm in size, the red villa features a terrace over looking the pool and with the ocean in the horizon and offers convenient access to the pool.
About Classic Rooms
Some of our classic rooms is equipped with a stunning view of the resort's garden and ocean view far in the horizon. One of the classic rooms located is closely situated to The Strand restaurant with a rooftop terrace, combined with a public living room space.
About Twin Rooms
One of the twin rooms is situated at the entrance pavilion that shares a private terrace with a superior double. One of two twin rooms is located above the reception with a view of The Strand restaurant and garden view. This pavilion is perfect for families for both intimacy and privacy.
About Single Rooms
Situated in one of our icon villas, the single room is equipped with a standard single bed, our high-end room amenities and offers a private terrace with a garden view and far-front sea view.
